FreeBSD - the power to serve

Linus Torvalds said in 1993: "If 386BSD had been available when I started on Linux, Linux would probably never have happened."

FreeBSD is in my opinion a far more consistent, secure and mature operating system than GNU/Linux. Its fast and powerful, very well documented, and it has a lot of advanced features for small to enterprise installations. And contrary to Linux - which is just a kernel - its a complete operating system.

The undersigned has over ten years experience with FreeBSD and it as proven to be a rock solid workhorse for all types of deployed internet applications: mail systems, dns servers, web and application, caching, database server, diskless "embedded" boxes etc. Needless to say, this website is also hosted on FreeBSD.
